FAQ
Does Trailseek work offline? Yes. Download a map region first (see Offline maps), and recording, waypoints, coordinates, and navigation all work with no signal. Apple map styles need a connection; the raster styles can be downloaded.
Does Trailseek collect my data? No. There are no accounts, no analytics, and no tracking. Your location, tracks, waypoints, and photos stay on your device. See the Privacy Policy.
Which coordinate formats are supported? Decimal degrees, degrees and decimal minutes, degrees minutes seconds, MGRS or USNG, and UTM.
Can I move my data to another app? Yes. Export your waypoints and tracks as GPX. See GPX import and export.
Do I need the iPhone app to use the watch? The watch installs through the iPhone app, but once installed it records, marks waypoints, and navigates on its own.
Why is elevation more accurate on some devices? Devices with a barometer use it for smoother elevation. Others fall back to GPS elevation.
How do I report a bug or ask for a feature? See the support page, open an issue on GitHub, or email info@inditech.org.
